Exhibition Recap | Baosiwei Showcases Integrated Digital Printing Solution at 2026 Foshan Packaging Expo
The three-day 2026 Foshan Packaging Expo has come to a successful close.
At the exhibition, Baosiwei presented its complete digital printing solution for color box packaging, attracting visitors from across the packaging industry. Discussions focused on practical production requirements, including manufacturing efficiency, print quality, labor costs, and the ability to handle frequent order changes.
One of the main attractions at the Baosiwei booth was the integrated production line combining automatic feeding, digital printing, laminating, and cutting. Several packaging manufacturers brought their own artwork files to the exhibition to test print quality and evaluate how the different production stages worked together.

Integrated Production Line: From Paper Feeding to Cutting
The main equipment featured at the exhibition was Baosiwei's newly upgraded 16-head digital color box printer with an integrated production line.
The system combines automatic feeding, digital printing, laminating, and cutting into one continuous workflow, processing paperboard from initial feeding through to the finished printed and cut sheets.
Compared with conventional production setups that rely on separate machines for each process, this integrated configuration reduces manual material handling and repeated loading and unloading between production stages.
For packaging manufacturers handling short-run orders and multiple product specifications, the streamlined workflow helps reduce waiting time between processes and improves overall production efficiency. It also provides a practical way to incorporate digital printing into existing packaging operations.

One Operator, Multiple Processes
The integrated line connects four key production stages:
- Automatic Feeding: Feeds paperboard into the production line, reducing manual handling and repeated loading.
- Digital Printing: Prints directly from digital artwork files without requiring traditional printing plates.
- Automatic Laminating: Applies film after printing to improve the surface finish of the paperboard.
- Precision Cutting: Cuts printed and laminated sheets according to preset designs, preparing them for subsequent box conversion.
With these processes connected in one line, the system requires only one operator to monitor and manage production.
For packaging factories dealing with frequent order changes and varying product specifications, this configuration simplifies daily operations and reduces the labor involved in transferring materials between separate machines.

Print Quality and Process Consistency Matter
Production speed is only one consideration when selecting a digital color box printer. Print quality, lamination performance, and cutting accuracy are equally important to the final packaging result.
At the exhibition, Baosiwei demonstrated the performance of each stage of the integrated production line.
1. Consistent Color Reproduction and Fine Detail
With digital printing and color management working together, the system delivers sharp brand logos, fine text, and detailed graphics. Gradient transitions appear smooth, while large solid-color areas maintain uniform coverage, supporting the quality requirements of different color box packaging applications.
2. Even Lamination and a Smooth Surface Finish
The laminating process focuses on consistent pressure and stable material feeding to ensure proper film adhesion to the paperboard. This helps reduce common surface defects such as silvering and wrinkles, resulting in a cleaner finish.
3. Accurate Cutting for Subsequent Box Conversion
The cutting system follows preset digital files to maintain accurate positioning and clean cutting edges. Reduced burrs and paper debris help prepare the sheets for subsequent folding, gluing, and box assembly processes.
Consistent coordination between printing, laminating, and cutting is essential to maintaining product quality throughout the production workflow.

Flexible Production for Short Runs and Multiple SKUs
Packaging manufacturers are increasingly handling orders with different designs, dimensions, and quantities. Frequent artwork changes and small production batches can make conventional printing methods less flexible, particularly when new plates and additional preparation are required for each job.
Digital printing eliminates the need for traditional plate making. Operators can switch between artwork files directly, making the technology suitable for short-run packaging, repeat orders, supplementary quantities, and multi-SKU production.
Combined with integrated laminating and cutting, Baosiwei's solution provides packaging manufacturers with a connected workflow from digital printing to post-print finishing.
This gives factories greater flexibility when responding to customized packaging requirements and managing orders with changing specifications.
